Healthy Mind Tip: Relieve stress & anxiety by setting a daily positive reminder!


Hello There, Beautiful People!

We know the outstanding benefits – both health and beauty – of eating healthily and exercising. One of the other key components in achieving overall wellness is the proper intake of healthy mind “food.” I talked a little bit about this in the post entitled, Empower yourself with Constructive Thoughts and 8 Positive Affirmations to Say Now.

As I noted on my Healthy Mind page, Emmet Fox sums this up perfectly in his quote, “It is the food which you furnish to your mind that determines the whole character of your life.”

We are what we think. The thing is, sometimes it becomes difficult to stay on track with your goals and positive affirmations throughout the day. So…you must remind yourself to stay on track!

A simple way to refocus your mind when caught up in the inevitable problems and difficulties of life is to set a reminder for your particular goal or positive affirmation. An effective way to do this is to set a reminder on your phone for an encouraging message – to yourself from yourself!  Tailor your message to your most important goal at the moment - whether it’s a diet, exercise, or positivity goal.

For example, set a reminder around 12PM (lunch time) saying, “Have some colorful foods…they keep you beautiful!”

For a positivity goal, use the affirmation statment as the reminder, such as “I can do anything I set my mind to…I never ever give up!”

If you don’t have a smartphone, simply post a sticky note somewhere you’ll see it again during the day – inside your car, your wallet, or on your bathroom mirror. Seeing this message to yourself will instantly refocus you and help you remember the importance of your goal - no matter what happens during the day!
