Lavender Aromatherapy: De-stress and Relax!

Hello there, Beautiful People!

Have you ever used aromatherapy to unwind? I've started to use Lavender as my go-to essential oil and it's incredible.

Lavender to the rescue
Ahhh, when I smell lavender my whole world gets better. The calming, yet very effective, scent can make even the most stressful days feel serene. 

Lavender oil may help reduce tension, stress, and ease pain. Whether you have a headache, day-to-day stress, chronic illness, or the excruciating pain experienced by individuals with endometriosis, lavender oil can help you relax and feel better. 

A little goes a long way
Just a few drops of this oil goes a long way. The scent, overall, is pretty strong. I often dab a few drops on my temples to relax. When I first started using it, I naturally went a little overboard. I put it on my comforter, pillows & couch (in addition to the oil infuser I bought). My place was like a lavender explosion. But, it smelled so damn good. 

In the past, I've experimented with a few brands of oils and they are definitely not all created equal. One of my favorite brands is "NOW" essential oils. I purchase it at my local Whole Foods Market. It was well worth the little investment.  


Try this: Dab a few drops of lavender oil on your wrists and temples. Then, switch on some calming, meditation music and enjoy the peace and relaxation that ensues. 

Remember, that in addition to a healthy diet and exercise, practicing stress-relieving techniques such as this, helps you achieve optimal health and beauty.
